Wet Crackle Effects has been formulated to create wet crackle ground on the undersurfaces of vehicles, dioramas and vignettes.
This product has been developed for the creation of correct scale crackle effects.
On an acrylic base, use a thin coat and allow to dry. You can modify the thickness of the layer or speed up the drying process with a hairdryer.
Non-toxic.
Application Tips
Use a thin coat to get fine crackle, or thicker coat for more pronounced cracking.
You can accelerate drying (and thus the crack effect) with a hairdryer.
Make sure the base underneath is well prepared, especially if you're going for strong crackle — some users report better results when applying over a more absorbent surface or with some prep.
It’s non-toxic, but still handle with care and close the lid well to avoid drying out.
Effects & Finish
When fully dried, it produces cracks that look very natural for damp, drying soil — not dry parched earth, but more like mud that has lost moisture.
The crack pattern can vary depending on how thick you apply it, how you dry it, and on what surface.
Because of its scale-appropriate crack size, it gives a realistic, miniature effect rather than exaggerated large cracks.
