BASE: INCUBI DARKNESS

Citadel Base: Incubi Darkness is a near-black with a cold purple undertone base paint in a 12ml pot. Base paints are fully opaque and made for solid, flat coverage in one or two coats — the essential first layer of colour on a primed miniature.

Named for the Incubi, the elite bodyguard warriors of the Drukhari, this near-black base with a cold purple undertone is the classic starting point for their armour, as well as any dark, sinister colour scheme.

Apply in thin, even coats to avoid pooling in recesses; two light coats give better coverage than one thick one. Once dry, it's ready for Citadel Shade and Layer paints on top.
